Students were happy to take a brief study break with the help of Leonard, aka Lenny, who was visiting for the day on June 12. Lenny, the 120-plus pound rescue Coonhound Doberman mix, made stops in the Health Sciences Library and the mods with his owner Fern R. Juster, M.D., senior associate dean for admissions in the School of Medicine. Studies have shown that being around dogs can provide benefits, including the release of endorphins and the decrease a person's level of cortisol.
