Easter Sunday has come and gone, and now we step into what it means to actually live as resurrection people in the everyday rhythm of life.

The celebration of Christ’s resurrection didn’t end on Easter Sunday; it continues as we live each day in the reality that Jesus is risen and reigning. As Paul reminds us, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Interestingly, this week also includes a few lighter moments—like National Pet Day (April 11) and even National Grilled Cheese Day (April 12). While these “fun” holidays may seem small, they can serve as simple reminders of God’s good gifts in everyday life, relationships, provision, and moments of joy.

This where faith meets daily life. The same grace that saved us is the grace that sustains us in ordinary moments. Whether you’re leading a congregation or simply going about your week, you are called to live as people shaped by the resurrection, people marked by hope, forgiveness, and love.

Christ is risen—and that changes everything, even the ordinary days!

Kingdom Wins: Working Together to Share the Gospel

We witnessed the baptism of Randa—a woman currently battling a serious illness. Pastor Muluneh Taye had the privilege of walking with her through conversations and basic teaching about the faith, partnering with Addis Kidan (an Ethiopian congregation) to carry out the baptism. It became a real testimony of churches within the CNH district working together—cross-cultural, unified in mission, centered in Christ.

2026 Missions Conference: Register Today!

There’s a quiet lie that small church leaders hear all the time: you’re doing less, reaching less, making less impact. It’s not true. Small churches and big churches aren’t different in mission - but they are different in how they’re led. And when you understand those differences, everything changes.

At the 2026 CNH Missions Conference, we’re creating space for leaders like you -pastors, planters, and ministry teams - who are done settling and ready to lead with conviction.

Jake Eisinger Called to Serve

What do an Elko City police officer and a Lutheran pastor have in common? In the case of Jake Eisinger, they are one and the same. Jake Eisinger has served as a police officer for the City of Elko, Nevada for the past 16 years and is now the pastor at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Elko as well. In 2023, Jake enrolled in the SMP program and, as part of the progression of the program, was ordained in 2025. Pastor Eisinger is an example of the various alternative ways God calls His people to ministry, and how those called are willing to do what it takes to serve His people and His church! CNH District Educator Jubilarians Recognized

Each Spring, we recognize Lutheran school educators who are celebrating milestone anniversaries in the teacher ministry, which we refer to as “jubilarians”. This year, we recognized educators who were celebrating service from five years to fifty years (in 5-year categories). It is exciting to note that two individuals are celebrating 50 years of serving in Lutheran schools!
