District President and 1st Vice President Ballots Available | |
The 2025 CNH District Convention will be held on May 15 – 17, 2025 at the Hilton Arden West in Sacramento, CA.
The ballots for District President and 1 st Vice President are now available on the Convention page on the CNH District’s website, https://www.cnh-lcms.org/2025-district-convention. Ballots are to be sent to the District Secretary by Friday, November 15, 2024.
More Convention information will be sent to pastors and congregations later this week.

Installation at Trinity, Gardnerville, CA | |
Jonathan Zoch was installed at Trinity in Gardnerville, CA on September 14. The Nevada Circuits have welcomed four new pastors this summer. In addition to Zoch, they are James Cleland: pictured at the top left, Shepherd of the Sierras, Carson City; Micah Glenn: Sierra Lutheran High School, executive director, to the left of Zoch; and Jason Iwen: Zion Winnemucca, not pictured. | | |
Navy Chaplain at Our Savior Lutheran in Aiea Promoted | |
On September 3, LCMS Navy Chaplain Pon Chanthaphon was promoted to Commander at a ceremony presided over by Admiral Sean Regan. Chaplain Chanthaphon serves on the staff at District Fourteen, United States Coast Guard. The Fourteenth District is responsible for directing Coast Guard operations throughout Oceania, including Hawai’i, Guam, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and activities in Singapore and Japan. Chaplain Chanthaphon is a member of Our Savior Lutheran, Aiea. | | |
3rd Annual Educational and Fundraising Event with Mercy Holistic | |
Mercy Holistic is a faith-based community organization dedicated to helping the homeless in the Sacramento area with hygiene and support to find jobs. They provide showers, haircuts, clothing, and bikes. They are excited to celebrate their upcoming 3rd Annual Educational and Fundraising event/dinner, "Mercy On the Move" and would love for you to join them!

In 10 Days: District Joint Leadership Meeting - School and Worker Safety & More | |
The CNH District will be hosting an opportunity for Administrators, Directors, Pastors, and HR Directors or Business Administrators who have schools and early childhood centers to meet together. The meeting will take place on Friday, September 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the CNH District Office, 2772 Constitution Drive, Livermore, CA, with the topic being "School & Worker Safety & More".
Evan Anwyl, principal at St. John's in Bakersfield, will be presenting on how to build a proper Worker Violence Prevention Plan (based on new regulations in California). We also plan to have attorney, Adam Trieger, share some important legal updates and answer your questions. Please join us for this great opportunity to come together in person to share and learn with one another!

LWML Zone 18 Women's Fall Event In 11 Days | |
Join other sisters in Christ for an uplifting day of Bible study, singing, inspiration, relaxation, good food, socializing, and an ingathering. Bible Study Leader, Jane Hoffmann, will present the Bible study she led during the 2024 LWML CNH Convention, “Gifted to Serve by God’s Grace”. Topics include: How May I Serve, How Does God Use Our Suffering for Service, How Do We Keep Up Our Strength, and How Does Our Service Change as We Get Older.

The CNH District president’s office has designated Sunday, September 29, 2024, as Disability Awareness Sunday in our district. This is in support of the Disability Ministry Committee. We encourage congregations to raise awareness of and reach out to people impacted by disabilities.
Our District Disability Committee has developed resources to help your ministry.
