Dave Levy - Called to Serve
Dave Levy’s journey into ministry has been anything but typical. Dave was not raised as a Christian, but that changed in high school when he met his future wife, Natalie, and her family.
Dave enrolled in the Director of Christian Education (DCE) program and, a few years after graduation, accepted a Call to Trinity Lutheran Church in San Rafael, California. Dave discovered and enrolled in the LCMS Cross-Cultural Ministry Center (CMC) program. Dave plans to complete it in 2028 and continues to serve Trinity in a variety of ways, including his role as Minister to Youth and Family.
Dave’s story is a powerful reminder that God calls His people into ministry in many different ways and at many different times. We celebrate the work God is doing in and through the life of Dave Levy. To learn more about his story and the CMC program, click here.

School Spotlight: HUG Preschool
Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in the Sunset District of San Francisco has been a part of the community since 1964. In 2019, just a year before the COVID Pandemic, Holy Spirit opened HUG Preschool in a building they own a few blocks away from the church. The school now serves 23 three- to five-year-old students with a staff of five. The Preschool Director, Krissel Potter, has been leading the preschool since 2023. One of the Holy Spirit pastors, Chris Ng, is very involved at the preschool, providing devotions and serving families. We celebrate this HUG Preschool and its ministry!
