"I came to bring fire on the earth...” Luke 12:49

Jesus’ words in Luke 12:49–56 are startling. He speaks of fire, division, and the urgency of the times. Following Christ doesn’t always bring peace in the way the world expects—it can cause tension, even within families. But this isn’t about destruction; it’s about refining. Jesus is calling His people to wake up, discern the times, and live with bold, faithful urgency.

Jesus also reminds us: don’t miss the deeper signs. It’s time to take faith seriously, to live intentionally, and to be all-in for the mission.

May the Spirit stir our hearts this week—refining our faith, sharpening our focus, and kindling the fire of Christ’s love in all we do.

Grace, Modesto Child Care Center Expands Preschool

Grace, Modesto Child Care Center has been in operation for more than 40 years. The preschool serves 2–5-year-olds and has maintained a Summer Extended Care Program for school age children. For over seven years, they have had a vision to serve infants within the community. This goal was recently reached, and a blessing was completed by Pastor Grant Knepper on Sunday, June 29! Licensing final approval was completed on July 18, and babies started on July 21!

We pray the childcare programs continue to be blessed and become a place where all may grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God’s Love!
