April 28, 2026

There’s something about late April that feels like a turning point. Yet, in the middle of it all, the resurrection of Jesus quietly anchors everything.

We don’t always feel victorious. Some days feel ordinary at best, heavy at worst. But God’s Word reframes what we see. As Romans 8:38–39 reminds us, “nothing in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” That includes busy schedules, lingering worries, and everything in between.

This week you might hear people talk about Star Wars Day (May 4: “May the Fourth be with you”). Even in humor, we’re reminded that truth matters and joy has a place.

This is exactly where faith steadies us. Christ’s resurrection doesn’t remove life’s pace, it gives us something unshakable within it. You are held, sent, and sustained, right here, right now.

School Spotlight: Redeemer School, Redwood City

Redeemer School is a ministry of Bridge City Church (originally Redeemer Lutheran Church) in Redwood City, California. Founded in 1926, Redeemer opened their school in 1957 offering TK (Transitional Kindergarten) through 8th grade programs with 160 students and approximately 15 full time staff members. The school is led by Executive Director Paul Schult and Principal Mike Mancini, who will be retiring this year. We thank God for the ongoing ministry of Redeemer as they share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with students and their families on a daily basis!
