Two friendly reminder deadline dates:

Wednesday, October 23 (tomorrow) is the initial registration deadline for The All Workers Conference. Any registrations received after October 23 becomes Late Registration and the rate increases to $200.

Friday, November 8 is the last day to register at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the conference rate or make any changes. In addition, November 8 is the last day to Register for the All Workers Conference, as that is the date we have to provide the hotel with our numbers for meals.

The PeaceAbility Ministry of Peace Lutheran Church, Sacramento, accepted the District Disability Committee’s challenge to celebrate September 29 as their Disability Sunday. 

They had a delicious potluck, ice cream sundaes and baklava! Additionally, they created a new banner for their ministry (the handprints on the cross-shaped material are only the beginning of it)! The most fun was the “Find Someone Who” game. They learned so much about each other. Nate Pevy, the youngest of the participants, had the earliest submission of answers!  November 9 is the next PeaceAbility event – come join Peace Lutheran for their game night.

In early October, two of Cross Academy/Our Savior Lutheran in Aiea, HI students (one in Lutheran Junior Honors Association - LJHA - and one prospective) were funded to attend and present a science research poster at the 2024 American Indian Science & Engineering Society National Conference. One of the students is also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Click here to learn more about their projects and the conference.

Start saving now for the 2025 CNH LWML Retreat at St. Francis Retreat Center in San Juan Bautista on August 1-2-3, 2025. The cost will be about $300, but the exact amount is yet to be determined. Lindsay Hausch, LCMS CNH author and speaker, will be our Bible study leader.

Nominating ballots for District President and First Vice President are to be sent to the District Secretary by Friday, November 15, 2024.The forms are available on the Convention page on the CNH District’s website, https://www.cnh-lcms.org/2025-district-convention.

The 73rd CNH District Convention will be held May 15 – 17, 2025 at Hilton Sacramento Arden West, 2200 Harvard Street, Sacramento, CA. The theme for the Convention is “Fruitful Branches” (Pruned for Growth) based on John 15: 1-3.
