Good Shepherd, Hayward Joins Our Savior, Aiea | |
On March 17, the worship team from Good Shepherd, Hayward traveled 2, 334 miles over the ocean to join Our Savior, Aiea’s ohana to dedicate their new piano (given in memory of Kazumi Stiller).
Eden Messeret, Sefo Soonafailouola and Paul Lauaki teamed up with Nancy Gowen to lead both morning services. Much mahalo to Pastor Dawit Bokre for sharing the team – and to Eden, Sefo and Paul for not only leading worship – but enjoying much of what the island has to offer (shave ice, malasadas, Dole whip, manapua and loco moco).
Our Savior is also grateful that Good Shepherd was able to share Jesus, not only with Our Savior’s people, but also all the others they met.

CNH District Hosts Annual Educators Spring In-Service | |
Over 180 teachers and administrators attended the annual CNH Educators Spring In-service on March 22 at Our Savior Lutheran Church & School in Livermore, CA. This one-day event is for educators in the CNH District to come together for worship, professional learning, as well as an opportunity for fellowship and collaboration. We also take some time to recognize jubilarians, or those church workers who have reached milestone anniversaries in service to the church.
At this year’s event Joel Wahlers, CNH Education Executive, led a keynote presentation and discussion on “Working with Today’s Families”. In the afternoon, educators met in collaborative groups to discuss their common experiences and challenges and share ideas.
We praise God for blessing us with such dedicated, wonderful Christian leaders and mentors!

LWML CNH Convention This April - Early Bird Registration Ends This Friday | |
The LWML CNH 2024 Convention is less than one month away! Early bird registration ends this Friday. If you have not yet registered, please click the links below. You will need to print the registration form, complete both pages and mail it with a check for $85* to cover registration, plus the cost for the meals you wish to purchase. Hotel accommodation must be arranged directly with the Holiday Inn - call (530) 221-7500.

One Mite to Go - Mites Year Ends March 31 | |
LWML CNH has funded Grant #16, Gospel Outreach in Thailand $3,500 - Lutheran Hour Ministries! Only one grant to go for this year: #17 - Indonesian Hymnal Project - $5,000, LCMS Office of International Mission, Asia Region.
The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) Office of International Mission and the Indonesian Christian Lutheran Church (GKLI) have been coordinating the development of an explicitly Lutheran service book in Indonesia since October 2017. To date there is no quality service book available in Indonesia, let alone a quality Lutheran service book. Funds from this grant help in publishing the Indonesian Hymnal.

LCMS 2023 Congregation Stats and Lay Leader Updates - Deadline Extended | |
The deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 30, 2024, to turn in your congregation’s statistics and lay leader updates. The information is submitted through LISN which is found here: https://lc.lcms.org/.
Please note: You will use the same login information that you used last year to register your presidential voters, not your login that you used for statistics in the past. If you have had challenges logging in this year with the new process, please contact Rosters, Statistics, and Research Services at Rosters.Statistics@lcms.org.
