Introducing The New InTouch!

We’re excited to introduce the redesigned InTouch, featuring a fresh look and updated format to better serve you! This new design enhances readability, keeps you informed, and makes it easier to share important updates from your ministry.

One of the key improvements is the "Submit Content" button, now conveniently located within InTouch. This allows you to quickly and easily share your stories, upcoming events, or celebrations with the district. We want to hear about the incredible work God is doing in your community, and this streamlined process ensures that your news reaches the right audience.

As part of our improved communication efforts, we ask that all event submissions for the upcoming week be sent in by the close of business the Friday prior to publication. This will help us keep everything timely and relevant for our readers.

We hope you enjoy the new look and find it even more valuable. Thank you for partnering with us in sharing the good news!

Has your congregation considered submitting an overture for the CNH District Convention?

An overture is a formal proposal or request for action submitted to the District Convention. It is used to propose new policies, changes to existing policies, or other important decisions.

How does the process work? Check out our guide From Overture to Action!

Congregations have the privilege of submitting overtures (proposed resolutions) to the District Convention, as do official conferences of the circuit and district. Overtures are due to the district office by Thursday, March 6, 2025, in an editable format (Word document preferred), using Times New Roman 12 pt. (Do not use pdf format. Click here for an Overture template.) Overtures are a very important part of convention business, providing a helpful indicator of what floor committees are needed and how our time is structured during the convention.

New EP Available From The Songwriter Initiative

Available now is “Gone” a new Lent EP (extended play musical recording) from The Songwriter Initiative (click here to listen). The CNH District is represented in The Songwriter Initiative by Cara Berg, Pastor Tom Zelt (Prince of Peace, Fremont), Trevor Rodriguez, Brandon & Allison Li (Bridge City, Redwood City), and Pastor Michael Schmid (St. John’s, Napa). Use these songs at your church. Resources for these songs (and many more!) are available for free (click here for resources).

The Songwriter Initiative of the Center for Worship Leadership at Concordia University Irvine exists to support modern songwriters serving within the LCMS church body and seeks to be a positive resource and influence for those writing for the church-at-large.

Called to Glory...

As pillars of the faith get called back to their heavenly home, we want to honor and acknowledge the legacy they leave behind and the impact they had within our congregations. If you would like to include any upcoming memorials, please click here to send the name, date of death, and date of service so that we may include them in an upcoming issue of the InTouch.
