Has your congregation considered submitting an overture for the CNH District Convention?
An overture is a formal proposal or request for action submitted to the District Convention. It is used to propose new policies, changes to existing policies, or other important decisions.
How does the process work? Check out our guide From Overture to Action!
Congregations have the privilege of submitting overtures (proposed resolutions) to the District Convention, as do official conferences of the circuit and district. Overtures are due to the district office by Thursday, March 6, 2025, in an editable format (Word document preferred), using Times New Roman 12 pt. (Do not use pdf format. Click here for an Overture template.) Overtures are a very important part of convention business, providing a helpful indicator of what floor committees are needed and how our time is structured during the convention.

As pillars of the faith get called back to their heavenly home, we want to honor and acknowledge the legacy they leave behind and the impact they had within our congregations. If you would like to include any upcoming memorials, please click here to send the name, date of death, and date of service so that we may include them in an upcoming issue of the InTouch. | | | | |
