Nothing compares

Have you ever discovered something so valuable that everything else suddenly seemed less important? Jesus says the kingdom of heaven is like that. A hidden treasure. A pearl of great value. Once it is found, the response is joyful, not reluctant. Everything else is gladly set aside because nothing compares to what has been received.

That is the gift of the Gospel. In Christ, God has given us forgiveness, peace, and the sure promise of eternal life. These are not rewards we earn but treasures freely given through Jesus’ death and resurrection.

When that truth settles into our hearts, it changes the way we live. Our priorities begin to shift. We become more generous, more courageous, and more willing to serve because we already possess the greatest treasure imaginable. Whether you are leading a congregation, serving behind the scenes, or simply seeking to follow Christ in everyday life, remember what you already have. In Jesus, you have a treasure that can never be lost, and that good news is always worth sharing.

CNH District VBS: Holy Cross, Concord, CA

Holy Cross, Concord, CA, partnered with Ygnacio Valley Christian School for a fun filled Emerald Crossing VBS, journeying through Psalm 23. They planned for 40 children and ended up with almost 50! Each morning began with a group prayer with volunteers. It was a Christ-centered time of fun and activities including Bible lessons, songs, crafts, and of course, snacks! Potato bowling and "herding" cotton ball sheep were highlights! Holy Cross & YVCS were blessed to be a blessing to children in the community!
