Thank you to those who attended our Joint Meeting and Workshop this past Friday on the topic of "Worker Safety & More".

A big thank you to Evan Anwyl from St. John's Bakersfield for guiding us in putting together a Worker Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP). He did an excellent job. Also joining us, Adam Trieger, a lawyer who works with many of our congregations and schools, did a presentation on changes and updates to Laws affecting our church and schools.

Pastor Clinton Hoff was installed as pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in Fresno, CA. He most recently served at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ridgecrest, CA. He and his wife Lalita have nine children. Peace Lutheran was blessed to host pastors from the Fresno Circuit as well as three pastors from Southern California who travelled to participate in the celebration.

This November, all CNH District church and school staff and workers are invited to participate in the 2024 All Workers Conference in Monterey, CA for worship, fellowship and professional development. This gathering will combine the annual Pastors Conference, the annual Lutheran Educator Conference, and include DCEs and all church workers through intentional partnership for the first time in many years.

Mercy Holistic is a faith-based community organization dedicated to helping the homeless in the Sacramento area with hygiene and support to find jobs. They provide showers, haircuts, clothing, and bikes. The ballots for District President and 1 st Vice President are now available on the Convention page on the CNH District’s website, https://www.cnh-lcms.org/2025-district-convention. Ballots are to be sent to the District Secretary by Friday, November 15, 2024.
