HSL Hosts 28th Annual Faculty Author Recognition

The year 2020 was like no other but NYMC faculty rose to the occasion on many levels including scholarly publications. It was a prolific year with more than 800 faculty citations including 747 articles, four books and 55 book chapters. Ninety-four of the articles published were related to COVID-19. These achievements were celebrated at the 28th Annual Faculty Author Celebration hosted by the Health Sciences Library (HSL) via a webinar on December 15. NYMC and TCUS Host 16th COVID-19 Symposium

The 16th COVID-19 Symposium offered an opportunity to not only look ahead at the challenges presented by the the pandemic, but to look back and appreciate the progress and knowledge that has been attained in the two years since the initial reports of the infectious disease in China first appeared. The online symposium, presented by NYMC and TCUS on December 16, examined the emerging Omicron variant, new potential treatments and a look at what a return to an in-person work environment could entail. Donate Life Club Hosts Successful Blood Drive with Record Turnout

NYMC Donate Life Club continued to build on their momentum, collecting a record number of donations at the December 13th blood drive, and achieving the highest number of donations in four years. Students eagerly awaited their turns in the Willner Atrium Lobby in the Medical Education Center as they embraced the holiday spirit of giving when the blood supply is dangerously low.
