Campus Illumination and Panel Discussion Honors Holocaust Remembrance Day
As dusk fell on January 27, the campus was illuminated in yellow, marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The lighting ceremony was accompanied by "The Reluctant Accomplice: An International Holocaust Remembrance Day Event," which examined how ordinary individuals become complicit in mass violence and the urgent relevance of those lessons today.

The Ethics, Economics, and Halachah of Compensating Living Kidney Donors with Federal Tax Cuts

The Drs. Joel and Judith R.F. Kupersmith Endowed Lectureship in Health Policy and Ethics in the NYMC School of Medicine will examine a bill currently under consideration in Congress that would provide altruistic donors with $50,000 in federal tax credits. Central to the discussion will be the ethical implications of such legislation and the critical guardrails necessary to ensure responsible and equitable implementation.
