CSSC Receives Grant from Children’s Dream Foundation
For the seventh consecutive year, the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center is the recipient of a grant from the Children’s Dream Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the quality and delivery of medical and health related services, especially emergency services, to children in the Hudson Valley.

Ulrich Steidl, M.D., Ph.D., to Address 35th Annual Graduate Student Research Forum
Ulrich Steidl, M.D., Ph.D., a leading expert in stem cell biology and cancer research, will give the keynote address at the 35th annual Graduate Student Research Forum on March 22. A graduate of the University of Heidelberg Medical School and the German Cancer Research Center, he trained as a postdoctoral researcher and instructor at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Steidl joined the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, in 2008, where he holds an appointment as tenured professor and chair of the Department of Cell Biology. He also serves as an associate director for basic science of the National Cancer Institute-designated Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, co-director of the Einstein-Montefiore Blood Cancer Institute, and interim director of the Ruth L. and David S. Gottesman Institute for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Steidl's address will focus on stem cell diversity and plasticity in hematopoiesis and leukemia.

Lactation Rooms Available on Campus
Additional lactation rooms are now available to NYMC and TCDM students and employees and authorized visitors who may need to use them for the singular specific purpose of lactation/expressing milk. There are designated lactation rooms in the Basic Sciences Building, 19 Skyline Drive, Sunshine Cottage and Vosburgh Pavillion, which may be reserved using the online Resource Scheduler accessed via the TouroOne Portal. Additional information and complete instructions may be found in the Family Friendly Campus Resources section of TouroOne.
