Predatory Journals on the Rise: How the Phillip Capozzi, M.D., Library Can Help You Publish Safely


recent editorial, published simultaneously in multiple top-tier journals including the Annals of Internal Medicine, BMJ, JAMA, The Lancet, and New England Journal of Medicine, and written by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, shed light on the growing issue of predatory publishing. According to a study cited in the editorial, an estimated 15,000 predatory journals existed in 2021.

Pet the Stress Away Brings Comfort to NYMC


On March 19, the NYMC community took a break from their busy schedules to participate in the Office of Student Mental Health and Wellness's Pet the Stress Away, an event designed to promote well-being through animal interactions. Facilitated by Paws Crossed Animal Rescue, the event provided a much-needed moment of relaxation as participants engaged with friendly, affectionate puppies Bonnie and Clyde.

NYMC Annual Days of Giving Set for March 25-26


NYMC aims to deliver quality health care education, starting by assisting our students in managing tuition costs, thereby reducing their financial strain upon graduation. NYMC will host our annual “Days of Giving” fundraising campaign to raise funds for student scholarships in the SOM, GSBMS, and SHSP.
