NYMC Dedicates The Norman E. Alexander Family M Foundation Medical Education Center Plaza 

 

The Medical Education Center Plaza at NYMC has officially been named The Norman E. Alexander Family M Foundation Medical Education Center Plaza following the foundation’s $3 million endowment to fund scholarships for medical students pursuing internal medicine.

Days of Giving Raised More Than $206,000 for Student Scholarships


The NYMC community came together for the eighth annual Days of Giving on March 25 and 26, raising more than $206,000 for student scholarships. With gifts from 115 donors across 18 states, the funds will directly benefit students in the SOM, SHSP, and GSBMS.

Study Finds Alarming Stroke Odds for Pregnant Women with Migraines


Pregnant womegn with migraines are at a significantly heightened risk for stroke according to a new study conducted by NYMC faculty, including Chaitanya Medicherla, M.D., assistant professor of neurology, and medical students and published in the Journal of Women’s Health
