GSBMS Enters into Agreement with Touro Physician Assistant Programs

The Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences (GSBMS) has entered into an agreement with the Touro College School of Health Sciences (TCSHS) Physician Assistant (PA) Programs. Under the agreement, eligible GSBMS master’s students or graduates who seek admission to one of the PA Programs will be guaranteed an interview or a conditional acceptance pending an interview if certain academic performance benchmarks are met. StuHE Officers Gear Up for an Active Academic Year

Professional development once again will be the focus of the Student Healthcare Executives (StuHE) Club in the School of Health Sciences and Practice (SHSP), who recently elected new officers. The group boasts more than two decades of dedication to equipping students with the knowledge and skills to be leaders in public health and is organizing several events with that mission in mind. D.P.T. Students Raise Nearly $4,000 During 23rd Annual Race for Rehab

Students from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2023 did not let COVID-19-related constraints stop them from raising nearly $4,000 at the 23rd Annual Race for Rehab. The 5K race, which was virtual this year, supports Achilles International, a not-for-profit organization which provides a community of support to athletes with disabilities. Allen J. Dozor, M.D., professor of pediatrics and clinical public health, chief of pediatric pulmonology, allergy and sleep medicine and director of the Children's Environmental Health Center of the Hudson Valley, was named president of Boston Children's Health Physicians (BCHP), having served as interim vice president of BCHP since April 2020.

The Family Health Center has the regular vaccine dose and the high dose for seniors. Faculty and staff can contact the Family Health Center at (914) 828-0435 to make an appointment, although walk-ins are welcome. Students can contact Health Services at (914) 594-4234 to schedule an appointment.
