From the Office of Public Safety:

In recognition of the month of October being designated as Fire Prevention Month, the NYMC community is reminded that fire extinguishers are located throughout campus and you should make yourself familiar with their locations. At home, it is always a good idea to purchase a fire extinguisher to keep in your kitchen near the stove.
