April 2023
Dear Friends:

Greetings from Ann Arbor! As chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Michigan Medicine, I am pleased to send you the inaugural issue of our new biannual alumni newsletter. We hope you enjoy catching up on department news while strengthening your connection to us and your fellow alumni.

Many of you completed our alumni engagement survey, and we are grateful. If you haven’t had a chance to yet, the survey is still open. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts on how you’d like to be engaged with the department — we’d love to hear from you.

I am also happy to share that we plan to resume hosting a Michigan Psychiatry Reception in conjunction with the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting. This year’s meeting will be May 20-24 in San Francisco. More details on the event can be found in the newsletter below. We look forward to seeing you there!

Another way to stay connected is through our Psychiatry Grand Rounds Series — now open to our alumni community — which takes place Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon ET. Click here to be added to our Grand Rounds email list to be informed of upcoming speakers and topics.

I hope you find this newsletter informative and prompting you to reconnect with us through some of the opportunities mentioned. You are a vital part of our Michigan family, and your engagement enriches us all and makes our department a better place. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Gregory Dalack, M.D.
