Congrats to the Eagles!

As you all know, Principal EL is a true Philly guy—born and raised—and a die-hard Eagles fan. To celebrate the Birds bringing home their second Super Bowl victory in seven years, we are giving away complimentary Eagles gear, books, and t-shirts to our subscribers! Congrats to the Chiefs on a great season as well.

Speaking of Philly pride, did you know that many schools in the Philadelphia School District now have air conditioning thanks to the incredible work of the Jalen Hurts Foundation? QB-1 isn’t just a leader on the field—he’s making a real difference in the community! Fly Eagles Fly!

Good News for the Week!

At the start of the school year, Principal EL had the privilege of visiting 13th and Union Elementary School in the Reading School District, where he met some truly inspiring teachers and leaders. While proudly sharing his 38 years of experience in education, a remarkable woman approached him and said, "I chose to stay for 50 years, sir!"

Wow! A huge thank you to Ms. Layos for an incredible 50 years of dedication as a kindergarten teacher. The students and families of Reading, PA, are so fortunate to have her!

Student Success Stories

Thank you for supporting our Choose to Stay movement! Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to support countless students pursuing higher education—whether at universities, community colleges, or trade schools.

Today, we’re celebrating three incredible students:

• Destiny Smith – Cornell University, Class of 2024

• Cashmere Young – Williamson College of Trades (PA), Class of 2024

• Shanea Higgin – Senior at the University of Delaware (Class of 2025)

All three were standout chess players in our program and continue to make their families proud. Thanks to your support, they’ve been able to purchase meals, books, and essential items to thrive on campus. We’ll continue highlighting more students and sharing updates in future newsletters!

A special shoutout to Momma Pamela Hurts (Jalen Hurts’ mom), who continues to teach despite her son’s NFL success. Now that is the ultimate "I Choose to Stay" commitment!
