Our Mission
We are a federation working with partners to build community and to enhance the lives of children, youth, adults with intellectual disabilities, and their families by building awareness, inspiring action and advancing rights.
Our Vision
A world where everyone belongs.
| | | | Message from Inclusion BC's Leadership Team | Inclusion BC has continued to work closely with self-advocate leaders, families, members, and community partners to advance disability rights and strengthen inclusion across British Columbia. Guided by our new strategic plan, we focused on deepening and diversifying engagement within our movement, strengthening community-based advocacy, and advancing the long-term work needed to develop a provincial disability action plan. | | | Individual & Family Advocacy | Our Community Inclusion Advocacy Program supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to overcome barriers and build more inclusive lives. In 2025-2026, we supported 1,331 situations, often complex and multi-system. Families reported increased confidence, skills, and connection. Our Family Support Workers Network strengthened collaboration, knowledge, and community-wide impact. | | | | | | At Inclusion BC, we work to create a more inclusive province for everyone. We transform real experiences into calls to action through Position Statements. We use these as tools to meet with Members of the Legislative Assembly and Members of Parliament. We help shape policy, promote rights, remove barriers, and ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and communities are heard. | | |
Conference & Learning Events
Inclusion BC’s Conference and Learning Events bring people together to connect, learn, and lead change in their communities. From large-scale gatherings to local and virtual learning opportunities, these events create spaces where people with disabilities, families, professionals, and community partners can share knowledge, build relationships, and strengthen advocacy skills.
