Inclusive Cycling International

Country Update: Inaugural Gaborone Challenge.

Wow! Every handcyclist at the Inaugural Gaborone Wheelchair and Handcycle Challenge last week was riding a bike donated by ICI to one of our programs in Southern Africa. Over 100 athletes with disabilities participated, most pushing their everyday wheelchairs, but the stars of the show were the handcyclists competing in the 42 km race - all empowered by ICI. Organized by our partners, the Botswana Council for the Disabled, this incredible event was funded entirely by local sponsors and staffed by volunteers. Proof that with a little start up help from you and ICI, locally sustainable programs that change lives are possible. My favorite part: Team Namibia brought extra bikes from their fleet so more Botswana athletes could ride. International Collaboration made possible by ICI.

Thank you for your support,
