Hello Newsletter Readers,

The tulips are officially blooming - head downtown throughout this month to catch them in all their colorful glory! With spring in the air and warmer days greeting us, there is much to be excited about. From simple things like the return of iced coffee and lacing up hiking boots again to enjoying the Boulder Creek and Boulder County Farmers Market, there is plenty to do downtown this time of year. A huge congratulations to the winner of our People's Choice Award for the Annual Student Banner contest, Abby Arnold! Abby's banner was selected as a favorite by the public during Boulder Arts Week. Thanks to all the fantastic artists for sharing their talents with downtown this year!

We also would like to congratulate the recipients of Downtown Boulder's Annual Awards, who were recognized at a luncheon celebration on April 1. We honor the extraordinary achievements of the following businesses and leaders in our community:

Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival

April 24, 2022 I 1 - 5 pm

Enjoy the start of spring in Downtown Boulder at the Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival! Follow the colorful Tulip Fairy and pint-sized fairies and elves around the Pearl Street Mall as they "wake up the tulips." This springtime tradition also features a host of family-friendly fun from other local businesses and organizations like crafts, face painting, live performances and more. Don't miss out on this chance to celebrate the beautiful tulips that adorn the Mall.

Dressing up is encouraged! If you don't have a fairy or elf costume laying around your house, this event welcomes pirates, princesses and any other costume that still fits from Halloween!

Boulder BCycle Free Earth Day Rides

April 22 - 24, 2022

In partnership with Bosch eBike Systems, Boulder BCycle is offering free pedal-assist bike share rides across Boulder Earth Day weekend, April 22 -24. eBikes are a great way to explore downtown, enjoy outdoor recreation or replace a car trip!

When you download the BCycle App, starting Friday, April, 22, the Bosch Earth Day Pass will appear in the pass menu. Just select this option and you will have the opportunity to take unlimited 60-minute e-bike trips through Sunday, April 24 at midnight.

First Sip

April 28 - May 1, 2022

Come together April 28 – May 1 to toast Boulder’s exceptional beverage scene! First Sip is excited to celebrate Boulder beverages with drink specials at several local restaurants, unique pairing and tasting opportunities and a variety of intimate events all weekend long.

Explore a new drink at Japango, sip on a classic gin and tonic at Corrida or peruse local artwork with a glass of wine at R Gallery + Wine Bar. Looking for some non-alcoholic options? Treat your tastebuds to tea at Ku Cha House of Tea and Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse.
