Welcome to North Campus, incoming juniors! We recognize that transitioning over to a new campus is a big change - one that can be both exciting and nerve wracking. And, while many of you have been in North’s hallways for co-curriculars and other events, it feels different to make your way around a new place as a student. Therefore, we want to make sure that you have opportunities to get more comfortable with the campus prior to the start of the year. 

In order to help get you acquainted with your new campus, we will be hosting a North Campus Junior Drop-in on Friday, August 14th. From 12:30 - 3:00, North Campus will be open to all incoming juniors to drop by and explore. Come on in anytime between 12:30 and 3:00 to walk your schedule, find your locker, locate the “must see” spots, and try out the tunnel into the Fieldhouse! We’ll have people around the building to help you find your way, as well as some snacks and music. We will also have some activities representation so that you can start thinking about what you may want to try this year. Come on by to say hello and walk the building!

Please note that some areas of the building might not be completely accessible given the final stages of construction that are being completed prior to the beginning of the school year.  

Another important aspect of your next two years at LTHS will be thinking about how to explore and prepare for life after high school. No one is better to help with that than Mr. Dailey and his team in the College & Career Center. They are located directly across the hallway from the counseling office, so make sure this is one of your stops during the North Campus Junior Drop-In on Friday, August 14th. During the year, we hope you stop in to ask questions, visit with the hundreds of college admissions representatives, research specific career fields, learn about military opportunities, and explore short-term certification programs that can lead to fulfilling careers after high school. It is never too early (or late!) to start thinking about these options, so we hope you will use this as a resource at North Campus.  A full list of our programs can be found on the LTHS College and Career webpage.

The LT Experience is also about participation in co-curricular activities.  While we realize that many of our incoming juniors have joined the teams/clubs that interest them, we also know that some of you might be looking to get involved in new clubs as you transition to North Campus. Therefore, we want to invite you to Co-Curricular Night which will take place on Wednesday, August 19 from 7:00-8:30 pm.  We encourage all students here at LT to find at least one co-curricular activity, athletic team, intramural program, and/or performance group to be part of during the upcoming year! It is always great to think about your areas of interest, passion, and even potential areas for future career when selecting a co-curricular to join. The full list of activities is posted on the activities page on the LT website.  The Co-Curricular Fair will open promptly at 7pm Wednesday, August 19, with clubs, athletics, and intramurals distributed throughout the South Campus Fieldhouse.
