Get Set Before Things Get Wet

The City of Boca Raton takes part in the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS), a voluntary incentive program that recognizes and encourages community floodplain management activities that help reduce flood risk. 

Through recently increased floodplain management activities, the City's improved CRS Classification now qualifies City residents for a larger discount on their flood insurance premiums through their provider. The discount increased from 15% to 25% for residents in all flood zones.

This discount is available to City of Boca Raton residents only. Although you may have a Boca Raton address, it does not necessarily mean that you live within City limits. View the Boca Raton Residency Map.

Flood insurance is not limited to properties in a high-risk flood area, so even if you live in an area with low-to-moderate flooding risk, you should consider having flood insurance.

Only a few inches of water can cause thousands of dollars in damage. Damage resulting from rising waters is not typically covered by homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policies. Fortunately, flood insurance for both buildings and contents is available to both property owners and renters.
