We all love a comeback story. From the Golden State Warriors to a Cinderella romance, we love hearing about people who persevere and overcome difficult times.
Perhaps, the biggest comeback story in Southwest Florida is the Cape Foundation.
Two years ago, Cape Foundation faced an uphill battle. But today, it is a different foundation. The foundation is back on track, earning the trust of many prominent leaders in Southwest Florida.
The recovery process to turnaround an organization is never an easy one to fix. It doesn't happen overnight. In fact, it requires patience and hard work.
Each week the community is seeing visual progress and proven results. The impact of the Cape Foundation gives hope to everyone to know there is power in second chances.

About The Cape Foundation
|
|
The Cape Coral Community Foundation, also known as Cape Foundation, is a public foundation serving the Southwest Florida region. The foundation is dedicated to working with donors, nonprofit members and affiliated fund partners in meaning and purposeful ways.
The foundation's mission is to stimulate philanthropy that enriches our community and region's quality of life through lasting and meaningful giving.
On May 17, 2018, Cape Foundation board of directors approved a two-year strategic and tactical plan. The plan started implementation on July 1, 2018 and will continue through June 30, 2020.
The decision was made to partner with the
Silicon Valley Community Foundation, largest community foundation in the world with $13.5 billion in charitable assets
, to pivot board leadership from tactical to governance; clarifying roles between staff and board, expanding donor services, increasing staff and forming stronger partnerships with nonprofit leaders.
