Businesses seeking to remain competitive must continually seek ways to ensure their workforce is prepared with the latest skills to succeed. When their employees lack the necessary skills to enhance productivity, those skills gaps can hamper the ability to retain workers, grow and prosper. CareerSource Florida's Incumbent Worker Training grants are a tool to help businesses address labor market challenges. The program provides grants for continuing education and training to upgrade the skills of current, full-time employees at Florida companies. 

• The Incumbent Worker Training program has $3 million available for the fiscal year that began July 1.
• The maximum amount a healthcare company can receive through an Incumbent Worker Training grant is $150,000.
• Healthcare companies may apply for Incumbent Worker Training grants every year.

A notice will be posted on careersourceflorida.com when funds are no longer available for the current fiscal year. 

Incumbent Worker Training has helped more than 3,100 businesses strengthen nearly 200,000 employees’ skills over the past two decades.
