7th Grade Field Trip

It's that time of year when the seventh grade travels to the Great Lakes Theater Festival to enjoy the production of  A Charles Dickens classic, it has become a seventh-grade tradition to read the story in ELA class and enjoy the live performance. We are looking forward to our field trip on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Comparing the book and the stage performance is always interesting. The seventh graders will enjoy lunch together in our cafeteria upon our return.

Pep Club

The IMS Pep Club is sponsoring its annual "Paper Candy Slip Sale" now through December 15, 2024. During lunch and recess you will find Pep Club members selling candy slips in the area between the media center and the cafeteria. Candy slips are $.10 a piece or $.25 for 3. Purchase six slips; receive a mini candy cane! Proceeds will be given to the St. Augustine Hunger Center. Providing daily meals to those in need, St. Augustine has been genuinely appreciative of our initiative. We are hoping to either meet or exceed last year's total, which was a whopping $300!

At the conclusion of our drive, prizes will be awarded. A slip will be drawn from each of the four grade level bags and winners will be announced before winter break.

This sale says so much about our IMS students. Over these many years, they have exemplified the true spirit of the joy of giving!

To those who have already supported our drive, thank you! To those who have not yet stopped by our stand, we hope to see you soon.

Happy Holidays!

Dana M. Yaro-Linderman and the IMS Pep Club

8th Grade US History

8th graders have been learning about the Constitution and how it protects citizens' rights. After learning about the Bill of Rights, Officer Repicky stopped by the classes to talk to students about rights in the 4th & 5th Amendments and explained terms such as probable cause, double jeopardy, and pleading the 5th.

Lost and Found

Please take a look at these photos to see if your child has misplaced anything. During the upcoming winter break, we will donate anything left behind. So, in the weeks to come, please have your son or daughter walk by the table to see if any of their items were left behind. Thank you!
