IMS Chefs Win 2024 Mystery Box Competition with South of the Border Recipes
The IMS food services staff recently won first place in the 2024 Mystery Chef Competition organized by Pisanick Partners and Gordon Foods. The contest challenges school kitchen teams across Northeast Ohio to create an original menu using mystery ingredients. In early February, the IMS chefs Barb Basnett and Helena Casserlie received a box of surprise ingredients to incorporate into four dishes: a tex-mex soup, toasted pita wedges, chicken slaw, and a shaved veggie salad with quinoa. The duo was surprised this afternoon when they learned they were the winners!
The IMS 2023-2024 Yearbook is now on sale through February 29th for $27. Scan the QR code or go to cavanaughphoto.com/order to place your order. After February 29th, a $5 late fee will be added to the price. No orders will be taken after March 15th. Yearbooks will be delivered to students on the last day of school.
