India is making its digital platform for Covid19 vaccination drive, CoWIN, open-source for all countries to access, adapt and use. This is perhaps the first time that any country is making a software platform developed by its public sector open for the world.

Multinational companies Dell, ICT (Wistron), Flextronics, Rising Stars Hi-Tech (Foxconn) and domestic companies like Lava, Dixon and Optimeous are among 14 companies to have been approved under the production linked incentive scheme (PLI) for IT hardware which is expected to draw additional investments of $378.34 million.
