India's agriculture exports increase 17.34% at $41.25 bn in 2020-21

India's export of agricultural and allied products in 2020-21 grew by 17.34 percent to USD 41.25 billion, and this growth momentum is expected to be sustained in the current fiscal as well, a top government official said on Thursday, June 10.
India’s exports rise 52.39% to $7.1 bn in first week of June

India's exports grew by 52.39 percent to $7.71 billion during the first week of this month on account of healthy growth in shipments in sectors including engineering, gems and jewelry and petroleum products, according to preliminary data of the Commerce Ministry.
Netflix to set up its first global post-production unit in Mumbai

Netflix is setting up its first post-production facility in Mumbai that will cater to not only Indian but also global projects of the streaming major. This will be Netflix's first fully owned, live-action, full-service post-production facility anywhere in the world, and is expected to be operational by June 2022.
India’s $7 billion bet to turn a fifth of its gasoline green

India is set to spend almost $7 billion to boost ethanol production as it prepares to roll out a greener mix of gasoline that may cut its dependence on foreign oil. About 10 billion liters of ethanol will be required each year to meet the 20% ethanol-blended fuel standard by 2025, India’s Oil Secretary Tarun Kapoor said in an interview with Bloomberg Television on Friday, June 11, 2021.

America's top infectious disease specialist Dr. Anthony Fauci on Thursday said his country is eager to involve Indian investigators in global clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 therapeutics.
US suspends tariffs on UK, India, European nations in digital tax dispute

The US government announced Wednesday it is suspending for six months punitive tariffs on Britain, India and four European nations while it works to resolve a dispute over digital services taxes. The decision comes at the conclusion of a year-long investigation into taxes that Washington says discriminated against big US tech companies like Apple, Amazon, Google and Facebook.
