Ambassador Nikki Haley, the U.S. envoy to the United Nations, met with Indian Ambassador Navtej Sarna, and said that the sky is the limit for U.S.-India relations. "It is always a delight to see the sense of pride that Ambassador Haley has in her Indian roots, and the high value she attaches to the India-U.S. relationship even as she plays such a prominent role in the American political sphere," Ambassador Sarna said.

A high-tech plasma spray technology developed by a researcher in Rajasthan has caught the eye of NASA scientists who believe it could be used in gas turbine engines in American spacecraft as a more efficient and less-expensive alternative to currently used technologies. India has become a global leader in cost-efficient space flight.

Business schools in India are set to revamp their curriculum, which will see the introduction of a new course on Indian ethics and concepts. Starting this year, the mandatory course will teach the "gurukul" system of learning, where students lived near their guru, as well as karma, the Hindu spiritual principle of cause and effect, where what one intends and does will affect his or her future.


Since setting off on a solo backpacking journey to India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, Mariia Dubyna, a Ukrainian, has embraced her natural tendency to throw herself headlong into the unknown and go on a path of discovery. Dubyna has visited India seven times and touts the country's "balance in the way of life."
