Project Overview & Benefits
Construction of the Indian Creek Drive Bike Lane is progressing as scheduled. This pilot mobility initiative aims to enhance cycling infrastructure and improve safety for all road users. The bike lane will span Indian Creek Drive, from 25 Street to 41 Street.
The primary objectives of this project are to strengthen bicycle safety and connectivity, encourage alternative transportation modes, and enhance the overall mobility experience for cyclists, residents, and visitors.
What's Happening?
The project has now entered Phase III, the final stage of construction. Key activities for completion are outlined below:
Phase III: Southbound East Lane
- Installation of new pavement markings
- Placement of Zicla bike lane delineators
Timeline
Beginning Sunday, August 24, 2025, the contractor will commence night time installation of green bike lane paint between 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., expected to last up to one week. Installation of Zicla bike lane delineators is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with the exact start date to be announced in future project updates.
Please know that this schedule may change due to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Light to moderate construction noise is expected.
- Construction materials and equipment will be stored only in designated areas within the work zone.
- Workers and machinery will be present on-site. Please exercise caution and follow all posted signage when traveling through the work zone.
- Residents and visitors will have continuous access to their properties and accommodations.
- A Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan will be implemented as necessary to ensure public safety.
