Fact Sheet: Indian Creek Drive Landscaping Project

Project Advisory: Tuesday, August 1, 2023

What’s Happening

To improve and revitalize the corridor, the city will perform landscaping work along Indian Creek Drive between 41 and 29 streets. This project will improve the landscape aesthetics and pedestrian experience for residents and visitors alike.

Landscaping Plans

The landscaping plans for Indian Creek Drive incorporate the desires expressed by residents. Some of the improvements include:

  • Incorporating vegetation with native and Florida Friendly species.
  • Promoting water retention.
  • Installing shade trees when possible.
  • Excluding bench-type seating, sheltered locations, and hiding places that may result in safety concerns.

All plant material for this project will be Florida Grade #1 or better. Please click here to view the project plans and a full list of plant species.
