Important!

Please Read!

As we move through the current school year, we want to remind parents to avoid stopping in the crosswalk or in front of the sidewalk ramps.

These spaces must remain clear for the safety and convenience of all our students, parents, and guests.

During normal pick-up and drop-off times we have staff available outside to help ensure that your students safely enter the building.

During other times please avoid blocking the ramp in front of the building while watching your child enter.

If you need to enter the building your car must be parked along the curb at the loop or in a regular parking space. Thanks for your attention to this important matter!

Attention 5th Grade Parents!

If you are interested in ordering 5th grade spirit wear for you kiddo, please click here or the logo below.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Elementary School Parent-Teacher conference time is approaching! This is your opportunity to meet with teachers about the progress of your student(s).

You will be able to schedule conference times for yourself online. Our conferences are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, February 27th and Friday, February 28 in the morning. There is no school for students at the Elementary or Primary Schools on Friday, February 28. Fifteen minutes will be allocated for all conferences.

Teachers will be conducting conferences individually with their homeroom classes.

It will be possible for you to also schedule a conference through the web-based system with our specialists. These teachers include Rob Starkey (PE), Todd Gries (Art), Amy Kirchner (Spanish), Alice Bohn (Music), Jackie O'Brien (iLab/Technology), Jennifer Theiss or Amanda Sopko (Discovery).

We are using the same scheduling software that we have used in the past. To schedule conferences for yourself go to: https://ptcfast.com/schools/IndianHillElementary. Please follow the instructions to schedule your conference with the teacher and any specialists that you may like to see.

Conference scheduling will be available beginning this

Friday, 2/7, at 5 p.m.

Please note that you will be unable to schedule or cancel appointments online within 48 hours of our first conference day. We ask that you consider scheduling a conference during the allotted time period so that teachers have adequate time to prepare the necessary information for you. If you need assistance or are unable to access the internet to schedule a conference, please call our school office at 513-272-4703.

We hope you find scheduling online helpful and look forward to seeing you at Parent-Teacher conferences.

Wellness Wednesdays

Here at IHES the staff and students participate in Wellness Wednesdays.

We do this by setting aside Wednesdays as an intentional day (or a moment in the day) each week to remember to take a breath, find moments of mindfulness, slow down, reset, and recharge. Each month's Wellness Wednesday has a different theme and activities.

This month's Wellness Wednesdays will focus on:

Responsibility for Actions

Ask your students what they can tell you about Wellness Wednesday!

Join the IHES Birthday Book Club

Would you like to celebrate your child's birthday in a lasting way at our school? Our library has a Birthday Book Club, which provides families a unique opportunity to honor your child's special day.

Families are asked to donate $15.00 to our Birthday Book Club to help underwrite the cost of a new book. The birthday child may then select a new book which has already been ordered for our library collection. There are always many wonderful titles from which to choose. Summer birthdays are celebrated either at half birthdays or in the spring.

The library will put a

birthday bookplate in the front of the selected book to identify this title as a lasting gift for our school's collection. What a wonderful way to emphasize the importance of reading with our Students!

Interested in joining our club?

Email Mrs. Sara Jones, IHES Librarian.
