Meet Me in the Middle

Phone, Devices, and Plenty of Questions

The decision of when to give your child a phone is a deeply personal one that also impacts our community. Many of us have become aware of the social/emotional dangers of social media use on teens whether through our lived experiences or through books like The Anxious Generation. But it’s not just about social/emotional development, it’s academic too.

Dr. Gentene explores this topic in her blog which you can read here.

You are also invited to join us on September 30 as we host

Nicole Pfirman, Executive Director of MindPeace Cincinnati,

to present “Wellness in a Wired World: Raising Healthy, Connected Teens”

as part of our Meet Me in the Middle Parent Series.

Pairing Canvas

Once your student has their Chromebook you'll be able to pair your parent Canvas account to their student account by following these steps.

IH-Sponsored Club Information

We are excited to begin student registration for clubs running during the 26-27 school year! You have the ability to sign your student up for clubs through Final Forms.

Please click this link to view this year's club offerings, students will be introduced to these clubs during Advisory next week. The parent walkthrough instructions provide step-by-step guidance on how to add your student to a club’s official roster.

To ensure a smooth process for club advisors, we kindly ask parents to confirm with their student that they are interested in participating in a specific club before completing the registration on Final Forms.

Please note that signing up for a club on Final Forms does not replace the need for students to stay informed. Students should continue to listen for updates in Advisory, through school announcements and regularly check their "Class of" Page for club communications and updates.

Companions on a Journey: Grief Support

Is your child currently grieving someone? As a parent or guardian, it can be incredibly difficult to watch your child go through the pain of grief. It can be hard to know what to say or do or how you might help your child feel better. Thankfully, Indian Hill Schools partners with Companions on a Journey (COJ), a grief support organization that facilitates grief support groups at school, during the school day!

COJ is committed to journeying with grieving individuals to help them feel less alone and to help them feel like someone understands what they are going through. COJ's grief groups are one time per month, and each group includes an activity and engaging discussion. It is free to participate, and students can join anytime throughout the school year. If you are interested in learning more or would like to sign your student up for a grief support group, please contactthe school counselor.

My School Bucks

Effective July 31, 2026, the fee for cafeteria credit and debit card payments will increase to $3.75.
