Team Tressel Fitness Challenge

Thursday we were honored to host Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, Ohio State University football and NFL athlete Sam Hubbard, and former Ohio State University football, CFL, and NFL athlete DeVier Posey to kick off the

Team Tressel Fitness Challenge!

The challenge was created as part of Governor Mike DeWine’s efforts to make Ohioans healthier and help every person live up to their full potential. Led by Lt. Governor Tressel, the challenge strives to help students across Ohio form healthy habits in fitness, nutrition, and sleep through individual goal setting.

"We want kids to be excited about living a healthy life. Our goal is to teach them good habits that will shape their behavior, self-image, and overall health and show them how beneficial it is to carry those habits through life."said Lt. Governor Tressel.

Our Braves had a blast learning about this program and are ready to accept the Lt. Governor's challenge!

Pairing Canvas

Once your student has their Chromebook you'll be able to pair your parent Canvas account to their student account by following these steps.

IH-Sponsored Club Information

We are excited to begin student registration for clubs running during the 26-27 school year! You have the ability to sign your student up for clubs through Final Forms.

Please click this link to view this year's club offerings, students will be introduced to these clubs during Advisory next week. The parent walkthrough instructions provide step-by-step guidance on how to add your student to a club’s official roster.

To ensure a smooth process for club advisors, we kindly ask parents to confirm with their student that they are interested in participating in a specific club before completing the registration on Final Forms.

Please note that signing up for a club on Final Forms does not replace the need for students to stay informed. Students should continue to listen for updates in Advisory, through school announcements and regularly check their "Class of" Page for club communications and updates.

Robotics Club- Advisor Needed

The middle school is looking for an advisor for our Robotics club. The middle school Robotics club collaborates with our high school Robotics club as students compete in VEX Robotics competitions. Materials will be provided. The club typically meets after school at 2:45. Meeting days are flexible and can be determined by the club advisor. Please reach out to Alex Fries (alex.fries@ihsd.us) if you would like to learn more.

Companions on a Journey: Grief Support

Is your child currently grieving someone? As a parent or guardian, it can be incredibly difficult to watch your child go through the pain of grief. It can be hard to know what to say or do or how you might help your child feel better. Thankfully, Indian Hill Schools partners with Companions on a Journey (COJ), a grief support organization that facilitates grief support groups at school, during the school day!

COJ is committed to journeying with grieving individuals to help them feel less alone and to help them feel like someone understands what they are going through. COJ's grief groups are one time per month, and each group includes an activity and engaging discussion. It is free to participate, and students can join anytime throughout the school year. If you are interested in learning more or would like to sign your student up for a grief support group, please contactthe school counselor.
