Out of concern for the safety of our patrons and staff due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the Indian Valley Public Library’s building will be closed to the public until January 11, 2021. But have no fear, you can still enjoy the library and all of its resources! We will offer curbside pickup
of items. Place items on hold and we will notify you when they are ready for pickup.
Generations of Indian Valley is offering many virtual programs from fitness and wellness to cooking demos, book club, and games. They are also offering drive-through take-out meals to those 60 and older on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:45 am-12:15 pm. Reservations are required. For full details on both virtual programs and drive-through take-out meals, visit their website at www.generationsofiv.org.
Although the building is currently closed, did you know that IVPL offers study rooms? They are free of charge and available for two-hour sessions once per day. Rooms include a table and two chairs, power outlet and WiFi access. Limit of two people in a study room. We hope to resume this service for you in the near future.
Have you heard? The Indian Valley Public Library has been awarded a gold star by the PA Forward initiative of the Pennsylvania Library Association. This initiative recognizes libraries who are helping citizens of the Commonwealth achieve five essential literacies necessary to succeed as citizens, parents, students, employers, employees, and consumers. These five literacies are Basic, Information, Civic/Social, Health, and Financial. The gold star is the highest level of recognition within the PA Forward program.
