The Indian Wells Golf Resort (IWGR) has been undergoing improvements to bring residents a new and improved resort this fall.
Currently, the driving range is being redone by City staff to level the hitting area to make it more adaptable for future use and the Resort’s technology has been updated to bring visitors a superior golf experience.
Visitors will be able to utilize Trackman 4, a dual radar technology that provides users with easy-to-understand data to improve their performance.
The landscape project continues to move forward with the removal and clean-up of the perimeter of the golf courses.
As these updates are implemented, the Resort is also in the process of updating its Master Plan. With the help of Stone Creek Partners, IWGR will evaluate its facilities, the resort experience and its impact on the City to discover new opportunities. Residents will be notified of upcoming community meetings to occur this fall so you can provide your input on the future of the IWGR.

There are many new and exciting renovations and changes taking place at our resorts, which will offer new services and amenities for residents and guests alike:
Last year, The Miramonte opened under a new owner, Lowe, and is managed by Lowe’s subsidiary, CoralTree Hospitality. They have undergone a renovation that includes fully updated rooms, a new dining area and bar patios that will wrap up this fall.
The Hyatt recently completed more than $1 million in landscape improvements to enhance their already stunning property. This is in addition to the $21 million worth of renovations they made in the last couple of years including the addition of the HyTides Waterpark, Desert Twist Lazy River and remodel of their suites, ballroom and restaurant.
The Renaissance Esmeralda also made a $25 million investment to renovate their lobby, bar and all of their rooms. Updates to the rooms include accommodations for modern business and leisure travelers, such as USB ports throughout, and improved WiFi and internet access. They also added a new outdoor venue to host weddings and large-scale events.

Although September was National Preparedness Month, it's never too late to get prepared for an emergency, whether that's earthquakes, floods or fires.
All residents should have enough supplies to last several days without emergency response and should have a plan mapped out. Practice makes perfect so once your plan is made, train for an emergency.
The City highly encourages all to sign up for Nixle, an alert notification service. Sign up by texting your zip code to 888777 or visiting local.nixle.com/register.
Indian Wells is also pleased to announce that in-person Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will resume in 2022. Sign-ups will open in January for the 3-Day training taking place on February 25, 26 & 27. More information on how to register will be available as the event approaches.

Natural disasters and other emergencies can strike without warning. In the event of an emergency, there’s a good chance that public safety service personnel will be busy handling emergencies. That's why it's important to be prepared at all times.
