Residents of Indian Wells will now be able to follow the City for the latest news, messages and updates on the City's new
Facebook page.
Indian Wells currently has a Facebook page that touts the many travel destination amenities of the City, while this new page will focus solely on its residential audience. Information on the new page will address community meetings, important public information, Resident Benefit Card information and other aspects of life specific to the Indian Wells resident experience.

The 2019 Senior Inspiration Award winner for the City of Indian Wells is Shelly Fraser. Shelly has lived in the Coachella Valley for 16 years and has been a volunteer with the Desert Regional Medical Center since 2005. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, interior design, reading and spending time with her husband Jim and their kitten, Oliver. Save the date for the awards luncheon on March 22.

Each year, the Indian Wells Grants-in-Aid Committee reviews and provides grants to various community-based organizations in the Coachella Valley. After a thorough review process, the Committee recommended to the City Council that funding be provided to 18 applicants for a total of
$145,700
. The Council approved and the following organizations will receive grants:
Act for MS, Alzheimer’s Association, Angel View Inc., Animal Samaritans SPCA, Assistance League of the Desert, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert, Boys and Girls Clubs of CV, Desert Aids Project, Desert Arc, Desert Cancer Foundation, Galilee Center, Inc., Gold RiteCare Childhood Language Center, Habitat for Humanity of the Coachella Valley, Inc., Hidden Harvest, Jewish Family Service of the Desert, John F. Kennedy Memorial Foundation, Loving All Animals and Palms Springs Art Museum.
