Buccee's Travel Center Plan for Greenwood, Indiana includes 42 EV Charging Stations

A proposal to bring the first Buc-ee’s travel center to Indiana has drawn significant attention in the Johnson County city, south of Indianapolis.

The 74,000-square-foot facility, planned near I-65 and Worthsville Road, went before the Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission on Monday night, but the commissioners did not vote on the proposal; instead, they continued the agenda item to July.

The proposed Buc-ee’s would include 120 fueling stations and 42 electric vehicle charging stations.

City of Portage Procures Electric Zero Turn Mowers

The City of Portage took delivery of two Gravely Pro-Turn EV60s towards the end of 2025. Each mower has a battery capacity of 16 kWh that allows for a full day of mowing between 6-16 acres. Additionally, Portage procured four extra batteries (16 kWh) that allow operators to exchange batteries during heavy mowing operations. This is especially necessary given the rapid grass growth following all the storms that have come through the area. NIRPC provided funding for this project through the Carbon Reduction Program. Inside Slate's Radical Design Process to Build a $24,950 EV Truck You Won't Be Embarrassed to Drive

Inside a sprawling former printing plant in Warsaw, Indiana, the new factory for Slate Auto—the affordable, ultra-minimal electric truck backed by Jeff Bezos—doesn’t look like a typical car manufacturing plant.

There’s no paint shop, something that can cost automakers $300 million or more to build. The factory doesn’t have standard stamping equipment to cut out metal parts like doors, which can cost another $100 million. The assembly line is built to make only a single model, and that vehicle is radically stripped down: Apart from the bare minimum and required safety features, there’s little inside. No infotainment screens. No radio or speakers. No carpeting. The windows roll up manually.
