GOEVIN Charging Infrastructure Contracts Are Rolling Out!

Project deployments are underway and are expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Over $3.3 million in funding was provided from the GOEVIN Charging Infrastructure Funding Opportunity for 18 publicly accessible DCFC projects and 18 Level 2 charging projects.

Electric Vehicle Test Drive at Tire Rack

Join us at Tire Rack’s South Bend Headquarters for electric vehicle test drives and education!

For the past two winters, Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG) has hosted an electric vehicle test drive event in partnership with Tire Rack and Drive Clean Indiana. Between the two events, we have had 90 attendees and 41 vehicles represented.

This private event is designed for local governments to learn about EVs from industry experts, stay up to date on emerging technological advancements, and share experiences with peers.

Lake & Porter County ZEV Project Update

*A total of 36 zero-emission vehicles will be going to 13 communities across Lake and Porter counties.*

This project is sponsored by the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC). This is an embodiment of an overall regional strategy to reduce emissions in Northwest Indiana,” said Ty Warner, NIRPC’s Executive Director. “The ZEV Project is helping to steer us toward a cleaner region.”

Over $2.9M is allocated toward this project to cover a significant portion of the light-duty EVs and publicly accessible Level 2 charging stations. NIRPC’s Northwest Indiana Green Fleet program has assisted in the education and deployment of a variety of clean fuel equipment and associated clean fueling infrastructure.

The remaining deployments will take place in 2026.

Major EV Milestone!

Orange EV reached a major milestone last month. Its deployed fleet has logged over 10 million hours of electrical operation, with many of its tractors still running on their original batteries and maintaining 97% efficiency. Congratulations!
