Inspired by stories from Native American tribes and the majestic landscapes of national parks of America, Spirit Rangers explores the adventure and beauty of nature through the eyes of Chumash/Cowlitz siblings. Join us for a watch party on Indigenous Peoples' Day for the Premier of NETFLIX's Spirit Rangers. Native American siblings, Kodi, Summer and Eddy, have a secret: They're "Spirit Rangers" who help protect the national park they call home!

National Indigenous Peoples' Day Teach-In

Oct. 12 – 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. PDT

Engage and learn from Spirit Ranger's Creator and Showrunner, Karissa Valencia (Santa Ynez Chumash) and Native Production Consultant, Dr. Joely Proudfit (Payómkawichum). Learn about PK-4th grade instructional resources that support

place-based learning.

California Native American Studies Model Curriculum

Oct. 13 – 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. PDT

Native American studies model curriculum guiding leaders from SDCOE and CIEFA will provide an overview of the tribally-driven curriculum project and share upcoming opportunities. Participants will learn how to get involved in creating and authoring K-12 model curriculum for Native American studies. Learn about upcoming community engagement opportunities.

California Indian Education for All is a statewide partnership that provides resources and tools, along with life and on-demand learning opportunities to promote the education of youth about the diverse histories, cultures, and contributions of California Native peoples.
