Goodbyes are never easy.
O, how I will miss Blue Mountain.
O, the smiling joyful faces of the children,
Days of learning, playing, laughing, watching
Butterflies flutter on the playground, their colorful wings,
Yelling in delight at each discovery, the
Eyes always in wonder of small
Beauty. How I loved the
ittle creek in the woods, looking
Under stones for salamander friends, practicing respect for
Every living thing.
My path must take me elsewhere now, to
Other beauty yonder, life leading always into the
Unknown distance & away from yesterday. Though I welcome a
New adventure, I will never not hold close to my heart
These years I have spent here, each day in the classroom an
Adventure, a meditation, a story, a prayer, a deepening, a work of art,
a working-together, a challenge, a lesson, a celebration-
I will never quit celebrating this, will
Never forget the beautiful children at Blue Mountain.
