Engage - Act - Effect Change

Facebook            Web            Email

Dear All,

Everyone has a "why": Why they're terribly worried about the direction our country is headed; why they decided to attend their first protest; why they keep on phoning their representatives, writing letters, and engaging on social media. For some people, it was the DOGE cuts or the first wave of deportations; for others, it was the steady erosion of democratic norms and civil liberties.

If you're reading this, you probably have your own “why” -- or many of them. And you are not alone. Millions of Americans share your concerns, your fears, and your anger.

That's why October 18 is so important. The No Kings rallies are a time for us to peacefully stand together and show that we love our country; we want change; and we represent the majority of Americans.

Read on for details about the Winchester protest. RSVP or just show up. Bring a sign, or a friend (or five), or just come as you are. Your "why" is important, and your voice deserves to be heard.

NO KINGS 2.0 Stand-Out in Winchester

In June, nearly 500 people in Winchester united to declare: America has No Kings. Our peaceful protest, together with millions world-wide, sent a powerful message, helping drown out Trump’s birthday parade and fueling a rising movement against authoritarianism.

Join us for the next No Kings event! The more voices, the greater the impact.

Details in the graphic above!

We’ll have a table on the church steps with a limited number of extra signs, email sign-up sheets, and donation options.

Bring friends, a sign, and join us for this national day of action!

This is a peaceful event and no violence of any kind will be tolerated.

Sign up for No Kings is not required, but appreciated. Let's stand together!

Do you wonder what resistance actions are the most effective in standing up to the Trump Administration?

This interactive 90 minute workshop will present theory and case studies that will help us explore the most

effective actions and tactics that can be used to create social change – including addressing the current threat to democracy in the US.

About our speakers:

The workshop leaders have been social justice activists for many decades, in movements including anti-nuclear, anti- intervention, housing rights, youth empowerment, voting rights, climate change, and classism awareness and action; and they have studied the research on social movement outcomes.

Did you know Oct 1 was

National Postcard Day?? So...

Postcard Campaign to VA!

We have packets available to be written and sent out.

Each packet contains 15 cards, stamps, and address labels. Instructions included.

The cost is $10/packet.

  • Virginia is one of two states that have statewide elections in Nov., which is why it is so important to contact voters in that state. This is a News Boosting Campaign. The postcards contain useful news headlines to Democratic-leaning voters in Virginia to combat disinformation and to make sure they learn about how harmful the Trump/GOP agenda is for most Americans.
  • Email us at IndivisibleWIN with the subject "Postcards" to request your packet(s). Let us know how many packets of 15 you would like.
  • Pick up your cards:

Where: Winchester Public Library (Study Room 2)
     When: Tuesday, October 14
Time: Anytime between 6p and 6:45p

  • When you get your cards, you can pay with Cash or Venmo

Deadline: Please mail your postcards by October 24, 2025 at the latest.

Urgent Action List

Sometimes we are notified about time-sensitive actions, whether in-person or from home.

Examples might be, a stand-out at the Burlington ICE Detention Center due to a specific situation outside of the regular, weekly protests, or contacting your legislators about upcoming bills they will vote on.

Would you like to be added to a special email list for urgent,

time-sensitive actions?

We do not want to send too many emails outside of our regular newsletter, so opting in would mean infrequent, targeted actions (and of course no obligation to participate in any action).

To be added to the list, email us HERE,

and use subject line "Urgent Actions"
