Province Releases Annual Labour Market Outlook
The province estimated there will be over one million job openings over the next 10 years in it recent Labour Market Outlook; 85% of which are expected to be filled by students and new immigrants. The report concludes that students will make up 47% of the new workforce, while immigrants will increase their share of new employees from 34% to 38% by 2032.

Province Announces New "Growing Communities Fund"
One billion dollars in new grants will be going to local governments in B.C. to help build community infrastructure and amenities to meet the demands of unprecedented population growth. The Growing Communities Fund will provide a one-time total of $1 billion in grants to all 188 of B.C.’s municipalities and regional districts.
