BCHA Celebrates Biosphere Certification! Establishes Partnership with Biosphere Tourism to Support BC Hotels

We are happy to share that the BCHA has established a partnership with Biosphere Tourism to help accommodators green the hotel sector and is now a Biosphere Designated Organization. Through this partnership, the BCHA will empower hotels with resources to support their own designation. The Biosphere Tourism certification evaluates environmental management, social engagement, and economic sustainability. Certified hotels proudly display the Biosphere seal, signaling their commitment to sustainability to reach a new market of sustainable travellers.

“By joining forces, we are setting out on a path to excellence, where environmental conservation and the well-being of local communities are key priorities,” said Patricio Azcárate Díaz de Losada, General Secretary at Biosphere Tourism.

We look forward to sharing more resources with our members.
