Savannah Mayor Van Johnson issued a new Executive Order (on July 26th) for the City of Savannah regarding masks.
 
According to the order, masks are “strongly advised” in the following cases:
  1. Inside any commercial establishments.
  2. Employees for all restaurants, retail stores, salons, grocery stores, and pharmacies while having face-to-face interaction with the public.
 
According to the order, masks are required in the following cases:
  1. In a building owned or occupied by the City of Savannah.
  2. Early childhood, elementary, and secondary institutions.
  3. Hospitals.
  4. Passengers on any federally regulated transportation.
  5. All persons occupying vehicles on a guided tour, including cars, trolleys, busses, bicycles, quadricycles, scooters, and pedicabs. 
 
Masks are not required in the following circumstances:
  1. When a person is alone or only with other household members.
  2. During physical activities, provided social distancing is maintained.
  3. While drinking, eating, or smoking.
  4. Wearing a mask aggravates a health condition.
  5. Wearing a mask would prevent the receipt of personal services.
  6. An individual is 10 years of age or younger.
