INDUSTRY AND ENVIRONMENT WORKING SIDE BY SIDE TO SOLVE THE BIG CHALLENGES:

I had the honor of visiting the Vermillion Cliffs, in Northern Arizona, where biologists with The Peregrine Fund, have been monitoring Condors and their population for the past 24 years.  As recently as 1982 the California Condor was declared extinct in the wild. The Peregrine Fund has made it their mission, to breed, raise and monitor the California Condor, to get them to a self-sustaining population.

Fun Facts:

  •  A California Condor’s wingspan is over 9 feet tip to tip. A condor can stay aloft for hours floating on air thermals
  • The California Condor is one of the largest birds in North America
  • Condors are scavengers, Mother Nature’s cleanup crew
  • Lead bullets used in hunting, will paralyze their digestive system. The Peregrine Fund is partnering with hunting groups to educate about the value of non-lead bullets. You can learn more about their partnerships at North American Non-Lead Partnership | The Peregrine Fund

Watch as we release a recovered 22-year-old male. #93. Condor Spotter

As I had the opportunity to sit on the cliff edge and watch him effortlessly soar over a portion of the Grand Canyon. It is inspiring to see industry groups working alongside the environment. When we come together, we are capable of truly amazing things.

Kaddas Enterprises is proud to partner with groups like The Peregrine Fund to develop products that have a positive environmental impact. Energy is critical to our society; we are developing products to protect power infrastructure from interaction with large birds such as the Condors.

Across the United States 20% of all power outages are caused by animal interaction. The economic impact of power outages is billions of dollars every year.

Our goal is to eliminate 20% of all power outages, globally!
