Greetings!
Public commentary is needed from all of our members to demand that infertility treatment coverage be included as an essential benefit under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by contacting the Department of Health and Human Services before January 31st, 2012.
The decision to include infertility treatment as a covered essential benefit falls solely in the hands of Kathleen Sebelius, US Secretary of Health and Human Services. Public comments are being accepted regarding this potential decision until Tuesday, January 31st. They can be sent directly to EssentialHealthBenefits@cms.hhs.gov.
While New England is extremely fortunate that half of our regional states have established infertility mandates, the inclusion of infertility as an essential benefit of ACA would benefit millions of Americans living with infertility without mandated coverage.
We invite all of our members and supporters, both professional and household, to send their comments and requests for infertility inclusion to the Department of Health & Human Services by close of business this Tuesday.
An email that only takes 15 minutes to write could have tremendous impact on the future of Americans' access to infertility treatment coverage, and ultimately, on the future of American families. Do you part today by sending your emails to EssentialHealthBenefits@cms.hhs.gov.
Tell Secretary Sebelius infertility matters.

This applies to take-out as well as dining in! Please email us for a copy of the certificate, and spread the word!
